Dr Suttha Supanya

Dr. Suttha Supanya is a Consultant Psychiatrist and Chief of the Research
and Development Division at Somdet Chaopraya Institute of Psychiatry in
Bangkok, Thailand. He currently serves as the Secretary-General of the
Psychiatric Association of Thailand and is a member of the WHO South-East
Asia Regional Office's Expert Group on Mental Health. Dr. Supanya
holds a medical degree from Chulalongkorn University, a Bachelor of Science
from Mahidol University, and completed his psychiatric training at Somdet
Chaopraya Institute. He also earned a Master of Science and a Master of
Philosophy in Mental Health Service and Population Research from King's
College London.
His research focuses on the epidemiology of psychotic experiences and
psychosis, early intervention services, and social determinants of mental
health. Dr. Supanya has contributed to Thailand's National Mental Health
Surveys and has published articles related to psychotic experiences, community-based
interventions, and mental health services.
