Dr Melvyn Zhang

Dr Melvyn Zhang is a Senior Consultant at the National Addictions Management Service. He is also an Assistant Professor with the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. He has a special interest in treating adolescents with behavioural addictions, in particular, that of gaming disorder. In 2024, he has led a team of authors in publishing a Guide for Gaming disorders for the helping professionals, to increase their awareness of the association between gaming disorders and other mental health disorders. He has extensive research publications, focusing on several research areas, which include that of addictive disorders, the interface of psychiatric disorder and medical disorders, and E and M Health innovations.
