The Honourable Katherine Hay
Senator Katherine (Kathy) Hay is the President and CEO of Kids Help Phone
(KHP), Canada's first and only free, national, multilingual, 24/7 e-mental
health solution and a global leader in youth mental health innovation.
In March 2025, she was appointed to serve in the Senate of Canada.
Her visionary and strategic leadership has guided KHP through a period
of remarkable growth and innovation. Since January 2020, KHP has supported
youth across Canada more than 22 million times, fuelled by new technologies,
data insights, and a focus on equity and inclusion.
Kathy is a passionate and action-oriented leader with a proven track
record in driving a meaningful system solution across Canada throughout
her more than 20 years of exceptional service in senior leadership roles
in the not-for-profit and financial services sectors. In recognition of
her contributions, Kathy was awarded a King Charles III Coronation Medal
from the Governor General of Canada in 2025.
